Mawji Sennik & Company is a firm of Certified Public Accountants which provides auditing (both external audit and internal audit), accounting, taxation, consultancy and management services.
In 1979, two best friends, Mr. Ismail Mawji and Mr. Youginder Pall Sennik, both of whom are members of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, established a Partnership that continues to today. The firm’s offices are located in Westlands, Nairobi. The firm, through its associates also provides company secretarial and registrar services, insolvency services, mergers and acquisitions and computer consultancy.
We believe in providing high standards of professional services and expertise and is committed to providing personalized services to clients.
The partners of the firm have sound professional background and experience ranging from public practice to management of industrial and commercial enterprises at senior levels.
To uphold the firm’s professional standards and to keep pace with the rapidly changing commercial world, partners and staff members are required to undergo regular training conducted both in house and through other professionals. There is also regular evaluation and upgrading of staff to ensure that they comply with the firm’s standards.

Ismail Mawji, Partner & Founder, FCA(UK), CPA(K), CPS(K)
Ismail has been a practicing partner for over 22 years and manages a large portfolio of clients in the hotel and service industry, construction and infrastructure development, tourism and transport, insurance, manufacturing and processing, commercial and health sectors.
Mr. Mawji has served in the various committees of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya. Currently, he is also an active member of the Insurance Committee of the Institute with specific insurance companies. He also currently serves as a director of Diamond Trust Bank Kenya.
Rahim Mawji, Manager, CA(CAN), CPA(K)
Rahim is a Manager in the audit department at Mawji Sennik & Co. Rahim is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia, Canada, where he previously worked in the role of an audit manager with Canada’s sixth largest audit firm.
His experience includes managing audits of small owner-managed business, not-for-profit enterprises, medical equipment supply, pharmaceutical manufacturing, general manufacturing companies, insurance companies, agricultural and food production companies and large public companies with international operations.
Jackson Kakemu, Manager, CPA(K)
Jackson is a Manager in the audit department at Mawji Sennik & Co. He also heads the Internal Audit department. Jackson is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and brings a wealth of experience to the firm from both the private and public sectors.
During his six year tenure at Mawji Sennik & Co., Jackson has managed audits of Insurance Companies, Pharmaceutical manufacturing, hotels and tourism, general manufacturing and agriculture. Prior to joining Mawji Sennik & Co., Jackson worked in the hotel industries in various capacities of the internal auditing and accounting departments.
Patrick Kamau, Manager, CPA(K)
Patrick is a Senior Auditor in audit department at Mawji Sennik & Co. Patrick has been with this firm for the last six years. He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.
Patrick has a vast of experience in audit including audits of chemical trading companies, general manufacturing companies, Large Retail and wholesale business, pharmaceutical manufacturing Companies, insurance companies, agricultural and food production companies, Hotels, tour and travel companies.
Onesmus Kyalo, CPA(K), CPS(K)
Onesmus joined the firm in August 2012 and is a man of many talents. He is an accountant and a public secretary, and holds qualifications from both the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya and the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya. Onesmus’s primary responsibilities revolve around the functions of Accounting, Corporate and Personal Taxation, and Company Secretarial and Registrar services.
